Since 1965, White House Fellowships have offered a select group of outstanding people a year-long opportunity to participate in government at the highest levels. Nearly 600 alumni of the program have gone on to become leaders in all fields of endeavor, fulfilling the fellowship's mission to encourage active citizenship and service to the nation.
Stacey Hawkins, 38. Hometown: Bastrop, LA. Stacey Hawkins is a US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and most recently served as a Squadron Commander. He served tours with the Presidential Honor Guard, the "Thunderbirds" aerial demonstration team, and as a combat Deputy Group Commander supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Hawkins was the top graduate from Squadron Officer School and one of "Ten Outstanding Young Americans" honored by the US Jaycees for community service achievements. Married with two children, he holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and is an avid musician. He is a graduate from the US Air Force Academy, and earned an MA, with distinction, from The George Washington University. He holds additional graduate degrees from the Air Command and Staff College and School of Advanced Air and Space Studies. Work Placement: Small Business Administration
