"Above All...Celebrating Air Power Over the Golden West," the Travis Air Expo 2008 is scheduled to host the USAF Thunderbirds Aerial Demonstration Team, the U.S. Army's Golden Knights Parachute Team, Warbirds aerial performances and various military static displays.

8/26/2008 - MOFFETT FEDERAL AIRFIELD, Calif. -- A 129th Rescue Wing MC-130P Combat Shadow cargo plane and aircrew based here will appear in the Travis Air Expo at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Aug 30-31.

The Moffett-based aircrew will be available to answer questions about their static-display aircraft and the 129th Rescue Wing from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

"Above All...Celebrating Air Power Over the Golden West," the Travis Air Expo 2008 is scheduled to host the USAF Thunderbirds Aerial Demonstration Team, the U.S. Army's Golden Knights Parachute Team, Warbirds aerial performances and various military static displays.

California International Air Show in Salinas, Sept. 27-28
Fleet Week in San Francisco, Oct. 9-14

About the 129th Rescue Wing
Located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, the 129th Rescue Wing's mission is to train and prepare to perform its wartime mission of combat search and rescue anywhere in the world. Equipped with MC-130P Combat Shadow tankers, HH-60G Pave Hawk rescue helicopters, and the Guardian Angel weapon system, the 129th has performed a wide variety of civilian search and rescue missions, including distressed persons aboard ships, lost or injured hikers, and medical evacuations.
