Lt. Col. John Caldwell, United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds" commander, folds a flag after performing at the Naval Air Station Oceana Air Show September 22, 2019, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The flag was flown during the demonstration and has a rich history with the U.S. military. This flag has been raised above the rubble of the twin towers after the September 11 attacks in New York and was later carried by the U.S. troops who apprehended Saddam Hussein.
