The United States Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds" hosted Reserve Officers' Training Corps students, Civil Air Patrol cadets and a group of Arizona State University Air Force ROTC cadets to the jets for a hands-on look at the Thunderbird mission and capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon on March 23, 2019, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, AZ. While on the road for airshows or flyovers, the Thunderbirds often visit local schools and hospitals to inspire the youth and cheer up those going through tough times. Since 1953, the Thunderbirds team has served as America’s premier air demonstration squadron, entrusted with the vital mission to recruit, retain and inspire past, present and future Airmen.
